MBCC Under13's Julian Cup V's N Maidenhead Final 09/07/2007 (Cookham Dean)

The Match to be played on Thu 01 January 1970

Maidenhead & Bray U13's Julian Cup team triumphed last night in a very polished display of good cricket at Cookham Dean.

Having lost the toss Maidenhead & Bray were put into bat by the N Maidenhead skipper, Sanjay Avert. LD Basson(23) and Tom Noakes(17) put together a good partnership of 43 runs off 7 overs to get Bray off to a solid start. Once opener Tom Noakes was run out due to a very good direct throw at the stumps with the score on 43, Bray suffered another 2 run outs due to further good N Maidenhead fielding. At 54-5 Bray looked in trouble until Simon Wykes(15) and William O Shea(10) steadied the innings to ensure Bray batted through all 16 over's and finished with a respectable 98 for 8 wickets.
